geo-image.eu is an interactive map platform where you can discover interesting places, capture them with a photo and description, and share them with others – from hidden natural gems to local insider tips.

No. Private use of geo-image.eu is completely free: viewing places, searching, creating your own places and sharing them. Only advanced plans for businesses, associations and dedicated map instances are subject to a fee.

You do not need an account to view and browse the map. As soon as you want to create your own places, upload images or share places, a free registration with an email address is required.

Sign in and select “Add place” on the map. You place a point, enter a name and description (in several languages if you like) and optionally upload images. Once saved, the place appears on the map.

Use the search and filters on the map and places pages. You can search by name or description and narrow the display by categories to quickly reach the place you want.

Yes. You can add photos to every place. In addition, GPX files (e.g. hiking or cycling routes) can be uploaded and displayed as a line on the map. All files are stored on our EU servers.

Yes. You can draw and save your own map layers with points, lines and areas directly on the map – useful for routes, regions or boundaries, for example. The scope depends on your plan.

Yes. You can share individual places and collaborate with other users. In addition, there is the Geo-Friends feature, which lets you connect with others.

Yes. geo-image.eu is fully GDPR-compliant and our servers are located in the EU. We use no tracking cookies and no external CDNs; only the data you voluntarily provide is stored.

The interface is available in twenty-eight languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Swedish, Hungarian, Polish, Dutch, Italian, Danish, Norwegian, Portuguese, Finnish, Romanian, Russian, Greek, Turkish, Ukrainian, Icelandic, Czech, Slovak, Serbian, Slovenian, Croatian, Bulgarian, Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian. You choose the language via the flags at the top of the bar.

You can install geo-image.eu as an app on your device (Progressive Web App) – directly from the browser, without an app store. The map then works like an ordinary app on your home screen.

Yes. Alongside the main platform, we offer dedicated map instances for regions, municipalities, associations, tourism, education and culture – with your own name, logo and colors. These are available on request; please use the project inquiry for this.

Advanced plans and dedicated instances are billed by invoice/bank transfer and are active immediately. You can see the prices on the pricing page; for instances and individual solutions we will prepare a quote for you on request.
